Trough architecture, art and anthropology we are presented to different views of how we live in the world today, what makes a home and what a home could be in the future. It’s a good idea to take time for your visit – the exhibition is huge and you don’t want to miss any of it!

Fanclub ♥ Huggande Kvinnor

Fanclub’s idol Dorte Olesen on Swedish television

Huggande Kvinnor (Women Chopping Wood) is an installation by Dorte Olesen, figuring women over age 50 chopping wood in urban spaces. The premiere was in Stockholm, Sergels torg in 2007, and was there after performed in Malmö and Berlin in 2009. In the short film Kvinnor som hugger ved, director Malin Skjöld takes us behind the scenes to follow the women, their companionship and the work with the installation. Also see the second part, a short film about their work with the installation Skottkärringar (Women pushing wheelbarrows). Beautiful and simple – Women power!
