WOWOWOW residency

We’ve just returned after an amazing week together with Quim Bigas at L’animal a L’esquena in Spain. A second initial working period of WOWOWOW – a collaboration with and around collectivity. The following are some WOrds and WOrlds from the WOrk …

Collective as a place where outcome is based on negotiation, conflict, listening and misunderstandings. Sense of value as a mode where movement comes from.

A mode of thinking through action – as an ongoing feeding between the modes (action/thinking >< action-thinking >< thinking-action) – allowing us to include an ongoing documentation/tracing of the research, while we work. What format(s) could be appropriate?

Conversation as a mode of thinking out loud, sharing your statements in the now, as a mode of creating source for movement… Conversation as a going around together, circling and wondering on certain topics, being in the not knowing and on the impossibility of agreements, being in a constant becoming, a constant reflection….Constant construction. The sharing of unknowing.

What if collective is a set of images that appear and disappear, of statements that are ephemeral, of a radical mode of being in a structure through the lenses of being present and in relation…?

The body of WOWOWOW has multiple eyes, ears and mouths. We can be shape shifters.

Big thanks to the L’animal crew for having us – such a special place!

Now – VACATION MODE!
Take care out there

Wowoworkshop

Fragments from a workshop we did with Quim Bigas earlier this summer – talking, writing, moving, doing – creating a possible startingpoint for a future collaboration on collectivity and failure. Super interesting, super fun. Thanks Quim!

About Quim Bigas

Fanclub ♥ Inspiration Room

Fanclub has been invited by Bora Bora in Aarhus to be a part of their new initiative “Inspiration Room” – a research platform that offers four invited Danish artists the time and space to focus on artistic development and fine-tuning.

During the two following weeks we will be in residency, first at Bora Bora and then at Vestjyllands højskole, taking the time to dig deep into our collective persona, detecting and (re-)shaping our collective ways. We have invited the dramaturge Paula Caspao as well as the dance-guru Anna Grip to visit and take part in our work and we look forward to see what these two meetings will bring..

Big thanks and thumbs up for this great and generous initiative by Bora Bora!
